"The Turkeys are Coming!"
---------------------------------------
Local chickens are here says our sign
But the local turkeys showed up to see if we'd mind
We did not let them in the store, that would be too strange
Since this is not exactly what we mean by free range
When it comes down to content marketing on Facebook in which you have something unique, maybe funny, very relevant, and then write original poetic rhyme to add to the engaging photo, then the goals and objectives are seen in the response.
In this live example, we published a photo taken by an employee of Long's Meat Market one year ago, and used it successfully last year with the same poetic rhyme. This year we are using it again, and testing it with boosts of the post in increments of $5-$20, to measure response.
We can also invite those that liked the post but not the page to also like the page....This has to be done manually by clicking on the drop down from the "others" link in the list of likes under the photo.
We also added our own comment thanking people for their likes, comments, and shares. So far, after a few days, we have a combined paid and organic 7300+ reach, 305 likes, and 32 shares! Sort of a viral-post-in-progress. This is ideal for leveraging the marketing, when you have a lot of shares.
We will continue to boost this post as an indirect way of reminding viewers that Long's Meat Market has free range turkeys for Thanksgiving. We will follow up on ROI and engagement as we approach the holiday.
This is one of those unique opportunities of using an engaging photo, adding some original copy, and having a strong existing fan base locally. We are always looking for or thinking of creating this type of engaging content "on steroids". To view this on Facebook > www.facebook.com/LongsMeatMarket/
